What are your favorite lines or catchphrases from videogames? Pretty straightforward, I think...

(after tossing a plasma grenade into a group of Grunts) "Ah! They're everywhere!"

"But the Future Refused to Change..." (Chrono Trigger Game Over)

"If history is to be changed, let it change! If the world is to be destroyed, so be it! If my fate is to be destroyed, I must simply laugh!" ~Janus "Magus" Zeal

And who can forget... "Sorry Mario, but our Princess is in another castle!"

"I see that Mr Bosco is generously giving away his profits to the underprivileged, ski-mask-wearing youth of the neighbourhood again." - Sam and Max Hit the Road

"Guns guns guns! Yar ho hee har har!" - Shadowrun.

My all time favourite quote from Silent Hill, which I think encapsulates the real truth behind the whole thing: "Its like, I was there. But not really."

"Jill, why don't you, the master of unlocking, take this lock pick." Resident Evil. The Jill Sandwich quote was close behind though.

"If you have the power to destroy the world...then you have to take responsibility for the world. Don't you?" Breath of Fire 3, Illusion of Ryu

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh." Chrono Trigger, Magus. (He gets plenty of great lines)

"Celes: Sabin! You're alive!
Sabin: But of course! You think a minor thing like the end of the world was going to do me in?" Final Fantasy 6.

"If you kill one, it is a tragedy. If you kill a million, it's a statistic." Command and Conquer Red Alert

"Those eyes were what scared me. When I looked in your eyes I saw myself staring back." Xenogears.

Everyone knows and loves "You spoony bard!" and "All your base", so I won't mention those. Razz "I, Garland, will knock you all down!" is also a favorite.

Basically, anything with bad Engrish/translation is fair game. Samurai Shodown is an excellent source of your daily value of Engrish.

...wait. You mean that was in the actual game? I thought it was just something which Brian Clevenger made up.

Personally, I like combat banter such as in the Elder Scrolls games, if only because it can be funny in-context: "You'll never take me down--aagh!"

Nope, Brian Clevinger didn't make that up, much to my surprise. I'll admit it was 8BT that got me hooked onto the early Final Fantasys.

As you may know, I really like the game
NiGHTS into Dreams...

In the entire game, there is only one spoken line.(maybe two)
At the start of the fight with him, Reala says "There is no NiGHTS!" as a way of disowning his NiGHTS as his sister.
It's cool.

Belmont: Die, monster! You don't belong in this world!
Dracula: It was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh! I was called here by humans who wish to pay me tribute!
Richter: Tribute? You steal men's souls, and make them your slaves!
Dracula: I suppose the same could be said of all religions...
Richter: Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!
Dracula: What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets! But enough talk... Have at you!

I've been playing a fair bit of Fable lately, and I must say, some of the Demon Doors just crack me up. My favourite so far has to be the one which requires you to have a high Combat Multiplier before it'll open. For people who haven't played the game, that basically means you have to lay down a lot of damage on your enemies without getting hit.
Demon Door: Oh, yes. You are the man. Get your arse in here.
