Hey all you Gamers out there! Hows about a little friendly Competion?! The Gamer Games are open for Digitally Realized players or carrying a Gamer Station! Fabulous prizes await the winner of this event! But more than that, the winner shall be bestowed the title Ultimate Gamer!
So here's The Deal. This is a roleplay (of course) that's played out like a contest. Don't worry, you get to compete in every challenge, since the events are point-based. I will be the overall Dungeoun Master of the events, but they will be somewhat stat based. It IS a contest RP, and it has to be like that to prevent "cheating" or "anti-cheating" (where you say aw, I suck, lose XD). If you win the challenge or not isnt based on your reckoning alone. Anyway, fill out the form below, and lets get going, shall we?
You can be a Gamer or a Game Charactor, kay then?
()=applies to Gamer only <>=applies to Game Character Only
<Power Description>: "Uber lol" will be disregarded
<Combat-related weapons and items>: Max Three
(Gamer Station Description): Anything different or special about your station
(Game Cards): Max Three
Stats
Since this IS a contest, we will have to have some stat-based items. You have 100 points in which you can split up into each category. You start with 50 Stamina and 10 Adrenaline, but if you want, you can add to Stamina (up to 75). No Stat can be over 50 Points (I hope I don't have to put this rule into use here, you're not crazy like that, right!? >.o) Adrenaline is a special stat, if you can't complete a challenge, you can take points from your adreniline and boost another stat, but be warned! If you use Adrenaline, then it's GONE. So if you used 5, then you have 5 left untill you've had enough rest to restore it!
Style
Pick what kind of battler your character would be. Just so you know, these are your characters BEST attributes, not their only ones. It may affect the outcome of some events, but for now just consider it part of your personality. I've tried to allow as much mix and match as possible, you can be an accurate attacker or a power attacker just as much as you can be and accurate defender and a power defender, ya? but if you think there's more you can be, just ask, I'll look into it.
Primary Style: Choose from following: Attack, Defense, Intelligence, Technique
Secondary Style: Choose from Following: Accuracy, Stealth, Power, Speed, Stamina
Overall Style: Choose from Following: Reckless, Reserved, Protective, Acrobatic, Strategic, Played By Ear, Pacifist
Style Notes: Optional
Stat-based RP... the storyteller and powergamer within are battling over my very soul!!
But seriously. As much as I'd love to throw someone in, as you already know, Lieutenant Gamer is engaged elsewhere - or will be in a chapter and some - and as I want neither to have him somehow be in two places at once, nor make up a superfluous second Gamer, I'm running low on options.
...unless, of course, nobody minds if I play Link. Not as in the mysterious being who controls the limits of all links established between the Gamers and the games, as in the guy from Hyrule.
Though, the trouble with playing a game character is which "style" he'd have. I mean, some people might play, say, Twilight Princess as a psychotic berserker who runs in and slays everything that can be slain without giving them time to breathe. Or, they could play Wind Waker more defensively, waiting for the right time to parry.
Which brings up the second problem of being Link: the number of different versions of him there are. Unless, of course, you don't pick one, and just make a basic conglomeration based on commonality between incarnations. I mean, every game since Link to the Past has had some kind of Hookshot, right? And I think every Link ever has had a sword, a shield, and a bow.
I guess it's a question of likelihood - it seems more likely that there would only be the conglomeration. I mean, it's not like the IDR would take one specific Link.
Of course, I must confess to an ulterior motive for wanting to play Link. I'd have an excuse to cheap out on dialogue.
Hey, don't look at me like that! I just don't want to completely mess up roleplaying as any character someone else made by making them say the wrong things! _________________
Hmm, interesting. As Anomaly said, there's an inherent risk involved with playing an already existent character "wrong" that I'd rather not touch. At the same time, I'd be semi-hardpressed to think up a gamer character (hmm, maybe Kid Gamer...) This is a problem that might easily be solved by choosing an entirely obscure character, though. I'll have to think about this. <_< _________________ <Alriik> *changes the channel*

Edit: Whoops! Accidentally posted instead copy-paste. I'll have a profile up in a JIFFY MIX.
Basics
Name: Duke Garland
Game From: Zeliard
Age: Probably early 20s
Gender: Male
Hair: Red, kind of puffy
Eyes: Blue
Appearance: A relatively fit man of average build. Sports a red tunic with black shoulder pads, a large black belt with bronze studs, red boots, and white-bandage wrapped arms out of battle. In battle he drops the ineffectual belt, shoulder-pads, and bandages for a set of red bracers, bright green pants, and a a red cartoon-Viking helmet. Clearly this is a man who knows the value of blinding his foes in battle.
Personality: An extremely dutiful, if slightly cheesy young man with a strong sense of justice. While polite, he has absolutely no tact with women, leaving behind his beautiful new girlfriend because some Holy Spirit told him to. He's a slow learner, but once he's got it, he's got it down for life.
Background: Duke Garland hails from the Holy Land of Zeliard. After an evil demon from another galaxy came unsealed, the King of the kingdom of Felishika's only daughter, Felicia, was turned to stone. Fortunately the Holy Spirit sent forth Duke Garland, who promised that he would defeat this demon if no one else would. After much trial and error, defeat him he did, and the land's drought ended and the princess was saved. Just as he was going to enjoy the peace and quiet, the pesky Holy Spirit told him he was needed elsewhere. And that elsewhere? Well, I think you can guess.
Alignment: LawfultotheMAX Good
Techniques
Power Description: Duke Garland is proficient in the use of both sword and shield, and works best with both equipped.
Combat-related weapons and items:
Sword of the Fairy Flame- A very long sword with a lot of heft to it. While powerful enough to down evil henchmen and beasts with ease, it can't finish off a boss-level or main character character in one blow, and swinging this sword leaves Garland unprotected by his shield. Without said shield he is quite squishy.
Titanium Shield- A wonderful, durable shield. Hey, it's more plausible than a gold shield. Almost makes up for Garland having negligible armor.
Primary Style: Defense
Secondary Style: Power
Overall Style: Strategic
Style Notes: When Duke Garland isn't using his sword his shield is in front of him, blocking. When he uses his sword, he can't block with his shield. The shield makes him almost impenetrable in front, save for from extremely strong attacks. He is vulnerable from the back, above (despite the helmet) and below (if he's attacked from below when coming down from a jump).
Other Inventory:
Feruza Shoes- Allows Garland to jump twice as high as normal. I'm not kidding. However, since he doesn't have Mario-level squishing powers, all it does is facilitate attack and evade. _________________ <Alriik> *changes the channel*

Gah... can you tell me the limit on amount of points I can put into Stats? I know, specific stats can only go up to 50. But what about the amount of points I have to spend in general? I mean, I can guess it's not allowed for everything to be 50, or even 49, but precisely where is the limit? Or, at the very least, can you give me some general idea of what kind of power level each range of numbers would have? Like, 0-10 is pathetic, 10-20 is poor, 20-30 is average, 30-40 is great, 40-50 is amazing, or something like that?
Sorry, but without that kind of limit or guideline in place, my powergamer side finds it a lot easier to take over.
Oh, and I thought I'd give Link the styles Technique, Speed, and Strategic. Strategic and Technique because just about every enemy in Zelda games has some "trick" to them, some specific technique for defeating them, and with the memories of those games in his head, Link would mostly think of combat in terms of that kind of strategy and technique. Speed because that's how I always played him - but, well, that's how I play everything. _________________

That'll be five bucks.
Anywho, this sounds like a fun one. Sounds like the storyline will take some work to get off the ground, but fun nontheless. As for my character... Good ol' Cap, another Gamer, or a video game character after all...? Hmm...
I'm tempted to go female due to the sheer lack of 'em elsewhere. _________________
I'm not 100% sure if I should actually go for this, but damnit, it was kinda fun putting this together and reading up about her. xP Plus, watching some clips on youtube.
General
Name: Cream the Rabbit
<Game From>: Sonic Advance 2 (followed by Adventure DX, Heroes, Battle, Rush, Riders, Rivals, Secret Rings, Shadow the Hedgehog)
Age: 6
Gender: Female.
Hair: More fur, really, and kinda cream and orange.
Eyes: Brownish orange
Appearance: Young anthromorphic rabbit with very large ears, orange dress and shoes, and an accommpnying little blue and yellow Chao.
Personality: Polite, happy and joyful, taking things as an adventure and befriending those she can. She is very naive and is always new to things, due to her age and comparatively sheltered upbringing, and she can also be a little short on attention. She can also be very sensitive and rather childish at times, tearful at times. Cheese is a very loyal Chao and is always ready to help Cream in battle. If Cream is upset, so is Cheese, which is generally a bad thing for opponents. She doesn't like violence, but will fight well for something she cares about.
Background: Raised by her mother Vanilla in a rather pampered environment, In the games, she has been kidnapped by Eggman once and saved by sonic, and helps out afterwards. Later, she joins Amy and Big on a quest to find her Chao Cheese's sibling, getting involved in the fight against Metal Madness. She also befriended Emerl and subsequently defeating him with team attacks when he turned violent.
Alignment: Neutral Good?

<Combat-related weapons and items>: Cheese the Chao, able to charge forward and ram the enemies.
Style
Primary Style: Choose from following: Technique
Secondary Style: Choose from Following: Speed
Overall Style: Choose from Following: Pacifist
Style Notes: Could become Acrobatic or Protective in certain situations or with right motivation.

Gah... how could I have not noticed that... (answer: dude, it was 2, 3 in the morning. Give yourself a break.) Hey yeah, that is a good point. But, still... how embarrassing, eh? </schizophrenia>
General
Name: Link.
Game From: The Legend of Zelda series.
Age: 19.
Hair: Blonde.
Eyes: Blue.
Appearance: A tall young man with short blonde hair and pointed Hylian ears, Link generally wears a green tunic, a long, floppy hat the same shade of green, a white undershirt, white leggings, and brown boots, with the Master Sword and Hylian Shield belted over his back.
Personality: Link is generally humble and courageous, ready to throw himself into danger for the sake of others, even saving the world on multiple occasions, but nobody really knows him beyond that - he never speaks at all, let alone about himself.
Background: Through most of his life, Link was a regular Hylian youth. However, when the villain Ganon threatened Hyrule, Link intervened, becoming the Hero of Time, chosen to defend Hyrule and wield the Triforce of Courage by the goddesses who created the land.
Alignment: Neutral Good.
Techniques Power Description: Spin Attack. Link is capable of charging the Master Sword with magical energy, then releasing it in an omni-directional spinning attack.
Combat-related weapons and items

Thats not scitzophrenia, thats MPD, scitzophrenia is a catch all diagnosis that happened to include that condition previously!

Poor non-talky Link. I mean, fairy boy. Although, I'm unsure about him being a pacifist. I mean, pretty much as soon as an evil plant pops up that can't move, he's cutting it down for Deku sticks. Did ANYONE not kill those things when they first saw them?
Wow, that was stupid of me, managing to scroll up just enough to the end of my own post and mistaking it for some of yours, since I only looked at the style thing. ;>.>
