So, let's say you had a choice of afterlife.

I say reincarnation. It makes the most sense to me (energy can neither be created nor destroyed), and I kind of like the idea of my consciousness going on and on forever, rather than coming out of nothingness and ending abruptly. The eternal dream thing might be nice too.

I feel the soul is free to wander where it may be, because it's not bound by a physical body anymore. This includes freedom from time. So I suppose it would be something like an eternal dream, the ability to wander anywhere and when you want. But on the negative side, its near impossible to really come in contact with the living for the understandability of your prior life. Some souls may try though, and that creates effects like ghosts and miracles and the unexplainable.

So...thats kinda like an eternal dream XD

I've thought a lot about this, and I've come up with...you go wherever you believe you'll go. If you think that you'll go to a perfect Heaven, then that's what it'll be. If you think that you're going to Hell, then off you go. However you envision it, that's what it is. All of these religions are sure that they're right, and this is the only possible explanation. Part of me can't wait to die just to see what death's like.

My other idea is pretty boring. Death is like sleeping, and you open your eyes as soon as you close them at the Second Coming, Judgement Day, Halloween, whatever. Kind weird, I know, but it's death we're talking about here.

Ever read Terry Pratchett?
Cos if not, you probably should. =3 His version of whats after death is pretty interesting, if only for his version of Death.
Even has the freedom from time thing Skybait mentioned. This is from memory, but I think the quote is something along these lines...
"He could see the cat as both a fat blind old moggy and as a mewling kitten, as well as every stage in between, all at once. This rather made the cat appear like a white, furry carrot, except not at all. But until proper fourth dimensional adjectives are created, such a description will have to do."

I personally...well, what I hope it is and what I think it is are two different things in that a part of me thinks that we may just simply die. On the other hand though, I have an obsession with angel wings and love the idea of reincarnation, so either of those would be great...I guess the whole 'dream/what you expect' thing is what I'd really vote for, despite doubts.

I shall fest in the halls of Vallhalla until Ragnarok! Drinking wine out of the skulls of my enemies!Razz

Actually, I'm with Firemastrr on his "Go where you think" thing.

But I'm choosing Valhalla anyway. My old buddy Vegtam the Wanderer says the food there is great. Razz
