Archive for gamerhang.myfreeforum.org A place where like-minded individuals who are into all types of mediums, and not just video games, can come to communicate and create!
This is your requisite camwhore thread... sort of. Basically, you have a few options, and you can choose to do any, a few, or all of them.
A) Post a photograph of yourself. Anything from an old baby picture to a crappy webcam shot to an attractive photograph that you obviously found on Google to a professional quality portrait.
B) Post a photograph of the portion of your living space that best represents yourself.
C) Draw a stick figure of yourself (Or better, if you can draw better than that. It'd best be an ACCURATE stick figure, though. )
D) Make a stat sheet. Nerdy? Yes.

This close enough?

10 kajillion hours in MS Paint. And by that, I mean 40 minutes of scribbling, without much finesse. xD;;

This is a photograph of me.

Doesn't look like a recent one though. =p
Koji_Tsunami
I don't think people are gonna want ot display there real face. consider this a parody. And an excuse to use Yoda.
Seriously though, it would be much nicer for everybody to honor the topic in future threads.
Konoko
My 'Mad PS Paint Skillz' notwithstanding. xP I probably should just have uploaded an actual picture.
Anomaly
I've already put a photo up - my avatar is actually a picture of me I put through PhotoShop. So, I'm not actually 2D. Nor do I have silver eyes. I just thought they'd look cool, and in my opinion, they do.
Chocolate Ninja
Haha, very cool! Now I feel like I should've screwed around in Photoshop or done an MS Paint rendition, though now that'd be stealing someone's idea. Keep 'em coming, folks!

"Longish?"
Naryu Elda
Seventeen's not old. Ninety is old.

Some past shoulder, some not. <.< And I would have put colour, but that changes a lot. *points back to MSPaint 'Masterpiece on first page*
And whoops, put the (lawl, old) in when I put something else, but then I looked back and decided that I probably shouldn't do it as a vague equivilant of age, based on Chocolate Ninjas 10 and Kojis 8. xP; Forgot to take it out when I edited the number.
Chocolate Ninja
Well, since the stat-sheet's been steadily evolving since page one, I think it's all right.
Now, to make things more interesting...
E) Post a little-known fact about yourself!
Little-Known Fact: I've only been to about one out of five locations advertised on the t-shirts I own.

Little-Known Fact: I can belly dance!*
Okay, would people mind putting in their genders too? It's not as hard to accidentally offend someone that way. I'm male.
*That is a joke, by the way.
Koji_Tsunami
I know I didn't mean Level to mean Age. I meant, like, how I rate myself physically speaking.
Oh yeah.
Male.
Naryu Elda
Female! And yes, Captain, you win at the age game. xD
Chocolate Ninja
Ha, so I'm either a 10 on the attractiveness scale or 10 years old. For me level meant how much experience I thought I'd gained, if 60 is the peak level. <_<
Also, I'm some kind of male.
Konoko
Captain Gamer wrote:

Nope. =3 Like I mentioned, I changed it from being a vague equivilant of age. I'm 21.
A little known fact, I still have a deep abiding fannism over Gohan from DBZ. Despite it being a good half a decade since I finished with the whole thing, that preference along with a small host of facts and such about the show have remained lodged in my brain. Which is odd, cos I forget the date, day, what I last did, what I was going to do, why I'm holding something...stupid selective memory.
Female.

Hey, it's either male of female. Is it that hard?

Well, he did say male. =P
He's just also adding in a bit of vaguery within that classification. Or disparaging himself somewhat.
Anomaly
I never thought level was supposed to be age. Like CN, I was just going by experience, but with the D&D system's level cap - 20, that is.
But, since people are talking about age and gender all of a sudden, 16 and male (though you can probably tell that from the photo).
Captain Gamer
I... I'm not the only person 20+ who's still got some suspension of disbelief!? Inconcievable!! ... I use that word, but do I really know what it means?
Oh yes, and despite everything, I'm female. ...which is a statement you shouldn't believe for a single moment.
Anomaly
Oh, don't worry. I don't think you're in any danger of that happening.

I'm sure English majors use that phrase all the time without actually knowing what it means. And nice to meet you, "Captainette".
I'm 18, and resigned to looking 14.
Anomaly
...what? People using words without knowing what they mean?!
Inconceivable!
(Sorry. Couldn't resist.)

I'd like to say its more Inconsequential than Inconcievable, but I suppose the Inobligality nature of the suspension of dispelief, along with the Impigrity of my statement, has caused it to be nothing more than an Icasm.
Ah, the beauty of words which are in truth, Irredivivous. (inobligality=not obligatory, impigrity=speedy/fast, icasm=figurative expression, irredivivous=impossible to revive. The others shouldn't be a problem. x3)
Fear da wordskillz.

Dude, try to stick with the shorter words. We have trouble with anything over three syllables.

Bah, Icasm is only two. And I explained what they all mean in the white. xP

Hmm. I thought I had a good vocabulary.
Chocolate Ninja
So we're having a non-plebian diction contest? I'm afraid my range of vocabulary is not quite up to par. However, if you ever need, let's say, the chemical formula of muscovite, I'm your man.

Well, I had to google muscovite, so I think thats a definate leading point.
But lets not turn this into a contest, if only because the ones I was using were probably the linqual equivilant of Giant War-Wheels. They're certainly not in general circulation and the only reason I know them is because they're obscure and I like looking through the phrontistery for such things. Due to finding some of them funny. x3
orgiophant - one who presides over orgies.
quibbleism - practice of quibbling recineration - second reduction to ashes
Honestly, I can't even see how that last one can really come up often. Except....huh. I guess any character with multiple lives or extreme regenerative powers could end up being it. Bowser got recinerated for a start.

...that would be an... interesting job, to say the least.
Konoko wrote:

Well, you don't want to try to quibble too much when you're out of practice. You might strain a muscle.
Konoko wrote:

Second? I always do it at least three times, just to be sure. That, and it sounds darn cool to be able to threaten: "I'll burn your ashes' ashes to ashes!"
Konoko
Yeah, thats why I find those ones funny. And there is definately reasons those words are little known and on the verge of extinction. xP
Hmm, should probably try to get back on topic though. XD Specially since theres some new people that can post. Although heck, I suppose I still could too, since that MS paint thing wasn't really as good as an normal picture.
...ehh, too lazy. For now anyway. x3
