The Gamer Games Sign Up and Discussion

Hey all you Gamers out there! Hows about a little friendly Competion?! The Gamer Games are open for Digitally Realized players or carrying a Gamer Station! Fabulous prizes await the winner of this event! But more than that, the winner shall be bestowed the title Ultimate Gamer!

So here's The Deal. This is a roleplay (of course) that's played out like a contest. Don't worry, you get to compete in every challenge, since the events are point-based. I will be the overall Dungeoun Master of the events, but they will be somewhat stat based. It IS a contest RP, and it has to be like that to prevent "cheating" or "anti-cheating" (where you say aw, I suck, lose XD). If you win the challenge or not isnt based on your reckoning alone. Anyway, fill out the form below, and lets get going, shall we?

You can be a Gamer or a Game Charactor, kay then?

Stats
Since this IS a contest, we will have to have some stat-based items. You have 100 points in which you can split up into each category. You start with 50 Stamina and 10 Adrenaline, but if you want, you can add to Stamina (up to 75). No Stat can be over 50 Points (I hope I don't have to put this rule into use here, you're not crazy like that, right!? >.o) Adrenaline is a special stat, if you can't complete a challenge, you can take points from your adreniline and boost another stat, but be warned! If you use Adrenaline, then it's GONE. So if you used 5, then you have 5 left untill you've had enough rest to restore it!

Pick what kind of battler your character would be. Just so you know, these are your characters BEST attributes, not their only ones. It may affect the outcome of some events, but for now just consider it part of your personality. I've tried to allow as much mix and match as possible, you can be an accurate attacker or a power attacker just as much as you can be and accurate defender and a power defender, ya? Razz but if you think there's more you can be, just ask, I'll look into it.

Stat-based RP... the storyteller and powergamer within are battling over my very soul!!
But seriously. As much as I'd love to throw someone in, as you already know, Lieutenant Gamer is engaged elsewhere - or will be in a chapter and some - and as I want neither to have him somehow be in two places at once, nor make up a superfluous second Gamer, I'm running low on options.
...unless, of course, nobody minds if I play Link. Not as in the mysterious being who controls the limits of all links established between the Gamers and the games, as in the guy from Hyrule.
Though, the trouble with playing a game character is which "style" he'd have. I mean, some people might play, say, Twilight Princess as a psychotic berserker who runs in and slays everything that can be slain without giving them time to breathe. Or, they could play Wind Waker more defensively, waiting for the right time to parry.
Which brings up the second problem of being Link: the number of different versions of him there are. Unless, of course, you don't pick one, and just make a basic conglomeration based on commonality between incarnations. I mean, every game since Link to the Past has had some kind of Hookshot, right? And I think every Link ever has had a sword, a shield, and a bow.
I guess it's a question of likelihood - it seems more likely that there would only be the conglomeration. I mean, it's not like the IDR would take one specific Link.
Of course, I must confess to an ulterior motive for wanting to play Link. Smile I'd have an excuse to cheap out on dialogue.

Hey, don't look at me like that! I just don't want to completely mess up roleplaying as any character someone else made by making them say the wrong things!
Chocolate Ninja

Hmm, interesting. As Anomaly said, there's an inherent risk involved with playing an already existent character "wrong" that I'd rather not touch. Razz At the same time, I'd be semi-hardpressed to think up a gamer character (hmm, maybe Kid Gamer...) This is a problem that might easily be solved by choosing an entirely obscure character, though. I'll have to think about this. <_<
Konoko

Or one without much personality to get wrong.
Like that guy in Actraiser, the one you controlled in dungeons. xP

<.< Part of me wants to pick Cream the Bunny.
Just because.

Re: The Gamer Games Sign Up and Discussion

Edit: Whoops! Accidentally posted instead copy-paste. I'll have a profile up in a JIFFY MIX.

Basics

Name: Duke Garland
Game From: Zeliard
Age: Probably early 20s
Gender: Male
Hair: Red, kind of puffy
Eyes: Blue
Appearance: A relatively fit man of average build. Sports a red tunic with black shoulder pads, a large black belt with bronze studs, red boots, and white-bandage wrapped arms out of battle. In battle he drops the ineffectual belt, shoulder-pads, and bandages for a set of red bracers, bright green pants, and a a red cartoon-Viking helmet. Clearly this is a man who knows the value of blinding his foes in battle.
Personality: An extremely dutiful, if slightly cheesy young man with a strong sense of justice. While polite, he has absolutely no tact with women, leaving behind his beautiful new girlfriend because some Holy Spirit told him to. He's a slow learner, but once he's got it, he's got it down for life.
Background: Duke Garland hails from the Holy Land of Zeliard. After an evil demon from another galaxy came unsealed, the King of the kingdom of Felishika's only daughter, Felicia, was turned to stone. Fortunately the Holy Spirit sent forth Duke Garland, who promised that he would defeat this demon if no one else would. After much trial and error, defeat him he did, and the land's drought ended and the princess was saved. Just as he was going to enjoy the peace and quiet, the pesky Holy Spirit told him he was needed elsewhere. And that elsewhere? Well, I think you can guess.
Alignment: LawfultotheMAX Good

Techniques

Power Description: Duke Garland is proficient in the use of both sword and shield, and works best with both equipped.
Combat-related weapons and items:
Sword of the Fairy Flame- A very long sword with a lot of heft to it. While powerful enough to down evil henchmen and beasts with ease, it can't finish off a boss-level or main character character in one blow, and swinging this sword leaves Garland unprotected by his shield. Without said shield he is quite squishy.
Titanium Shield- A wonderful, durable shield. Hey, it's more plausible than a gold shield. Almost makes up for Garland having negligible armor.

Stats

Stamina: 50
Adrenaline: 10
Attack: 15
Defense: 35
Speed: 5
Accuracy: 20
Intelligence: 10
Technique: 10
Charisma: 5

Style

Primary Style: Defense
Secondary Style: Power
Overall Style: Strategic
Style Notes: When Duke Garland isn't using his sword his shield is in front of him, blocking. When he uses his sword, he can't block with his shield. The shield makes him almost impenetrable in front, save for from extremely strong attacks. He is vulnerable from the back, above (despite the helmet) and below (if he's attacked from below when coming down from a jump).

Other Inventory:
Feruza Shoes- Allows Garland to jump twice as high as normal. I'm not kidding. However, since he doesn't have Mario-level squishing powers, all it does is facilitate attack and evade.
Anomaly

Gah... can you tell me the limit on amount of points I can put into Stats? I know, specific stats can only go up to 50. But what about the amount of points I have to spend in general? I mean, I can guess it's not allowed for everything to be 50, or even 49, but precisely where is the limit? Or, at the very least, can you give me some general idea of what kind of power level each range of numbers would have? Like, 0-10 is pathetic, 10-20 is poor, 20-30 is average, 30-40 is great, 40-50 is amazing, or something like that?
Sorry, but without that kind of limit or guideline in place, my powergamer side finds it a lot easier to take over.

Oh, and I thought I'd give Link the styles Technique, Speed, and Strategic. Strategic and Technique because just about every enemy in Zelda games has some "trick" to them, some specific technique for defeating them, and with the memories of those games in his head, Link would mostly think of combat in terms of that kind of strategy and technique. Speed because that's how I always played him - but, well, that's how I play everything.

That'll be five bucks.

Anywho, this sounds like a fun one. Sounds like the storyline will take some work to get off the ground, but fun nontheless. As for my character... Good ol' Cap, another Gamer, or a video game character after all...? Hmm...

I'm tempted to go female due to the sheer lack of 'em elsewhere.
Konoko

I'm not 100% sure if I should actually go for this, but damnit, it was kinda fun putting this together and reading up about her. xP Plus, watching some clips on youtube.

General
Name: Cream the Rabbit
<Game From>: Sonic Advance 2 (followed by Adventure DX, Heroes, Battle, Rush, Riders, Rivals, Secret Rings, Shadow the Hedgehog)
Age: 6
Gender: Female.
Hair: More fur, really, and kinda cream and orange.
Eyes: Brownish orange
Appearance: Young anthromorphic rabbit with very large ears, orange dress and shoes, and an accommpnying little blue and yellow Chao.
Personality: Polite, happy and joyful, taking things as an adventure and befriending those she can. She is very naive and is always new to things, due to her age and comparatively sheltered upbringing, and she can also be a little short on attention. She can also be very sensitive and rather childish at times, tearful at times. Cheese is a very loyal Chao and is always ready to help Cream in battle. If Cream is upset, so is Cheese, which is generally a bad thing for opponents. She doesn't like violence, but will fight well for something she cares about.
Background: Raised by her mother Vanilla in a rather pampered environment, In the games, she has been kidnapped by Eggman once and saved by sonic, and helps out afterwards. Later, she joins Amy and Big on a quest to find her Chao Cheese's sibling, getting involved in the fight against Metal Madness. She also befriended Emerl and subsequently defeating him with team attacks when he turned violent.

Alignment: Neutral Good?

Techniques

<Power Description>: Able to fly by flapping her ears, not quite as high or long as some others, but at high speed. (Faster than Tails.) Also can perform Sonics spin attack and spin dash and team attacks with Cheese.
<Combat-related weapons and items>: Cheese the Chao, able to charge forward and ram the enemies.

Appearance: A tall young man with short blonde hair and pointed Hylian ears, Link generally wears a green tunic, a long, floppy hat the same shade of green, a white undershirt, white leggings, and brown boots, with the Master Sword and Hylian Shield belted over his back.

Personality: Link is generally humble and courageous, ready to throw himself into danger for the sake of others, even saving the world on multiple occasions, but nobody really knows him beyond that - he never speaks at all, let alone about himself.

Background: Through most of his life, Link was a regular Hylian youth. However, when the villain Ganon threatened Hyrule, Link intervened, becoming the Hero of Time, chosen to defend Hyrule and wield the Triforce of Courage by the goddesses who created the land.

Darn it, you're right... half-right, anyway. It's generally not called MPD (or "Multiple Personality Disorder") anymore; the current name is "Dissociative Identity Disorder", or DID for short (which is handy, because it's got "ID" in there.)

That's why I didn't list him as a Pacifist; that was Cream the Bunny's profile. I listed Link as Strategic, and already mentioned why.

Captain Gamer

Decisions, decisions. Be a game character, or a Gamer?

And if the latter, be predictable with good ol' Cap after all, switch it up as Czar, or maybe dip into a supply of other canonical Gamers (the lowest amount held in which being 0) and thus spoil yet more of the future?

Czar still thinks being introduced into the Gamerverse fandom through a comedy medium was a bad move on my part.
Anomaly

Heheh. Well, it will be kinda tough to take a serious villain seriously once you're used to him not being serious. And I'm serious about that, seriously.
Skybait J

Well, the Kasugano Arc certainly showed us how much of an evil dasturd he could be to counter the humor uses of him.

When Czar turns up in DD, I think it will probably be less suprising, but still mysterious. We don't know what to expect from DD Czar, because the comic still is "Out Of Charactor". We don't know if he'll turn up as pure evil or if he'll try to play friendly...it'll still be quite an introduction...
Koji_Tsunami

Well, I think that Czar is probably the least comedic character in OCC.
Remember how he said "The fact I only did that to you is out of character enough for me." after basically maiming Felicia. Or somthing like that.

Augh! I've just realized that with school starting in just a few days,I'm not sure how be able to participate in this, given that most of the time, the school year restricts me from posting except on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This is actually what made me drop out of Jenia's RP, and I don't want to drop out of this one too.

Ah, dang. Real life getting in the way of things again. Lucky for me, I don't tend to have that problem.
...no, I don't mean I'm some kind of AI construct that lives solely on the Internet and doesn't have any distractions. I mean, I'm home-schooled, which makes for hours a lot more flexible.
Though, since I'm using that as part of my pitch for getting a job soon, that might start getting in the way of things...

As an odd point though, Cream is not my favourite character and I usually would prefer to create my own, because I get paranoid about being OOC for existing characters, since I know I have a tendency to slip into a certain kind of character. xP;

You Guys Have Got, Like, 20 Spare Points

How odd. Neither Duke Garland nor Cadet Gamer use all 100 stat points - they both cut off at 80. Is that alright, Skybait? Or is it too close to "anti-cheating"? (I know, it's like, 20 points, but still... as a min-maxer, it hurts to see any points go unused.)
Yes, I realize that, up until now, Link was using 105. It was a mathematical error on my part which I just noticed, and has now been edited. I just wish I'd caught the error earlier.
Koji_Tsunami

Wait...
I didn't use all my points? I could've sworn that if anything, I accidentally used too many. You're sure?
I thought I had 100 points used...
Anomaly

I'm sure, unless I've got Skybait's description of how stats work wrong.
If I'm right, though, then you're 20 points under, and both your Stamina and Adrenaline are too low. Stamina starts at 50 as a minimum, unlike the other stats, and Adrenaline starts at 10. Unless I'm in error, neither Stamina nor Adrenaline count toward your 100 point total, unless you use points to raise Stamina.
Have I got that right, Skybait?
Konoko

Yeah, thats what I figured it meant too.
Quote:
You start with 50 Stamina and 10 Adrenaline, but if you want, you can add to Stamina.

So, everyone should have 10 adrenaline and at least 50 stamina and the 100 points is divided amoungst the 7 'attribute' statistics, as well as Stamina if more is desired.

Duke Garland is currently only at 90 by my count, unless it was intended to put 10 into Stamina or something. And cadet, assuming the 50 Stamina and 10 Adrenaline, is at 85, I think. So, 15 more to go. >.> Probably just putting a couple more points in everything would work.
Skybait J

Yes, you're not required to use all of your points. And also, Yes, your base stamina and adrennaline don't count towards the 100 point total (though I'm not sure how that leave people with 20 points leftover o.o)
Anomaly

Skybait J wrote:

I can't quite remember, but I think it was something to do with how his Stamina was lower than normal. If the 50 wasn't a required minimum, then logically, it could have been that each point of Stamina lower than 50 was an extra point to spend on other stats, in which case he would have had I think an extra 30 from having lower-than-normal Stamina.
Koji_Tsunami

Funny.
I think it's evened out now. It's been edited.
Chocolate Ninja

Ah, my mistake! Time to add more points to defense. Very Happy

Does this sound good, or should I rework it, or perhaps choose someone else?

General

Name: Kamek Koopa
<Game From>: Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
Age: No one really knows, but he is at least in his late seventies.
Gender: Male
Hair: Short white hair that is normally hidden by his hat. Used to be a firey red in his youth.
Eyes: Black and bespecitaled.
Appearance: Kamek currently wears his white robes with a red triangluar pattern along the bottom of his robes and with the same pattern on the bottom of his white Magikoopa hat. Short sighted from years of studing magic and kooping himself up in a dimly lit room to peer into a crystal ball, he black-framed circular glasses. A single fang protrudes from the left side of his upper jaw. He is of short stature, and his robes conceal his red-backed shell and frail form (he *is* a koopa-koot, remember?) Also under his robes, he wears a bag similiar to a postman-bag, which he uses to carry potion ingrediants, magical potions, tomes, his coin-purse, and other things.
Personality: At the moment, as he is under hypnosis, he is rather docile and even helpful. His memory is a bit messed up and he is slow to anger, but he is still a koopa not to be underestimated. His normal personality, mind you, is cunning, cruel, and is always busy with researching some spell or artifact that would help the Koopa King beat Mario. He normally regards anyone that is not a member of the Royal Koopa family as though they are wasting his time.
Background: As per Koopa law, Kamek acted both as a sort of parental figure and teacher to Bowser after the King and Queen met their untimely deaths. After a rather... irritating ordeal regarding a herd (pack?) of Yoshis when Bowser was two or three (Super Mario World 2), the Magikoopa brought the young prince back to the mainland castle in Dark Land, where he taught him in the safety of the lava-ridden land. Many years passed and Bowser grew up into the big brute we all know and love. Kamek assisted in the schooling of Bowser's children when they were hatched. Years after the Koopalings faced Mario for the first time (Super Mario Brothers 3), the Smithy Invasion took place (Super Mario RPG). Kamek had been inside the castle at the time the giant sword Exor impaled Bowser's Keep, and so had been caught by Smithy's forces. He does not talk much about it, but what is known is that Kamek was the Magikoopa who had been somehow brainwashed into Smithy's service. Kamek was still recupperating when Bowser (about a couple months after Smithy was beaten) to take over Peach's Castle (Super Mario 64), but naturally Bowser was beaten by Mario. Three years passed and then Bowser went to Isle Delfino with his new son, Bowser Junior. Six months after they returned, Kamek took a much deserved vacation about a week before Bowser decided to go after the Star Rod, which he was assured was an excelent plot that would not fail by Kammy. It wasn't until after the appearance (and defeat) of the Shadow Queen (which took place about seven months after the Star Rod incident) that Kamek finally returned. Evidentally, he had attempted to create a mind-enhancing potion, but left it on the fire too long, and so it turned into a mind-altering potion.
Well, this is what 'happened' before he had been Realized by IDR. They had chosen Kamek to see the effects of magic in the Real World, but made it so that he was, at the time he was Realized, still under his own spell. This insured that he would not try to kill Mario and that, since there were no other magic wielder Realized at the time, the spell would not be undone.
Alignment: Lawful neutral (lawful evil when not under hypnosis.)

Techniques

<Power Description>: Being one of Bowser's top magikoopas, he is highly skilled at magic. Duplication, teleportation, giga-growth (not to be confused with giga-form), hypnotism, transformation spells (example: turning a brick into a Yellow-shelled Koopa Troopa), basic healing magic, fire spells, thunder-based magic, and scrying via crystal ball. (His powers are offset by the fact that he's an old koopa, and casting too much magic wears him out.)
<Combat-related weapons and items>: Possesses two wands and his broomstick. One of his wands possesses a white handle, with a small circular red top which in the middle of it is embedded a rather large emerald. The other is fashioned out of a gold-steel alloy, possessing instead a star instead of a gem as the decorating focus point. His broomstick is pretty standard, being a simple tan broom.

Stats

Please note, these are not while riding his broom.

Stamina: 50
Adrenaline: 10
Attack: 10
Defense: 9 (He spent his life studying magic, not how to wield a sword.)
Speed: 10 (mixture of old age, heavy shell, and long robes.)
Accuracy: 18
Intelligence: 30
Technique: 18
Charisma: 5 (Would YOU trust an evil Koopa, even if he was under hypnosis?)

Style

Primary Style: Choose from following: Intelligence
Secondary Style: Choose from Following: Accuracy
Overall Style: Choose from Following: Strategic
Style Notes: This is when he has a calm enough mind and is fully capable of preforming magic. When something has him enraged, he's more of a chaotic combatant. When he is not able to cast magic or use a 'power up', he will try to evade any and all hostilities.

Other Inventory: A couple Power Stars, about fifteen healing mushrooms, seven hundred and fifteen coins, a set of blue Magikoopa robes with a white hem on the sleeves, an unknown number of books about magic (hey, its an enchanted bag. He could fit a CASTLE in there!), and a large number of spell components. Because he does not have his crystal ball, his scrying skills would pretty much be useless.

Note: All items aside from his wands and the set of robes and the shell he wears were all recreated by him after Realization.

Seems pretty good, although I'm not familiar with the character. (But then, Link is the only character profiled so far who I am familiar with.) Although, I don't think you really needed to fill in his entire background...
Naryu Elda

^-^; I just felt like I had to...
Koji_Tsunami

Nice job on the Magikoopa. But I'm still the only one with a Gamer, not even Cap has one right now. jeez. Skybait wasn't kidding when he said there weren't o many of those guys.
Naryu Elda

Thanks. Kamek's a fun person to write about, and him under hypnosis (like in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga) was my way of reasoning why he would be Realized. I mean, really... they would have to put up safeguards to ensure that Kamek didn't go ballistic when he saw Mario.

And it just would not feel right to me if I took on the Captain's equipment... For a clicque (by now) movie quote... "There can be only one!"
Koji_Tsunami

There can be only one Captain Gamer. There was alredy more than one Gamer though *cough*Czar*cough*. And these guys aren't Canon, so the only way they would ever be in Captain Gamer continuity is if-never.
Therefore, you have no reason to feel guilty over using a Gamer.
Naryu Elda

Nonononono. I refer to the equpiment as the Captain's because... well, it was first seen (and officially seen, as the comics and the Cards and Realized people have not taken place / been Realized yet in the story) used only by Captain Gamer, so I just automatically think of it as his.

Its more along the fact that its like with any video game hero... He/she is the only one with the equipment or abilities, and yet when fans of the game write their stories, they bestow the same items/powers upon their OC.

I just have this thing against actually writing an original character with equipment that is either unique or requires certain attributes (this is speculative) to be given to the gamer. Goes the same way for Roleplays with me. I can't help it. Don't get me wrong, I play the idea out in my head, but in the end, I can't write it out (whether because it gets lost in the translation from mind to pen, or because of what I have already said.)
Koji_Tsunami

But your Gamer's Gamer Station doesn't have to beas good as Cap's is.
Or, if you actually modify it to make it better, you can do all sorts of crap to make your guy still pretty average. As in not as good as Captain Gamer. For example, Cadet just isn't very strong despite his potential because he knows next to nothing about operating the Gamer Station. He can basically only use Game Cards, and link with characters, where Cap can do all this stuff.
I don't know about you, but I try pretty hard not to create Mary-Sues for a Roleplay.
Captain Gamer

General

Name: N/A
(Gamer Name): Constable Gamer.
<Game From>: N/A
Age: 23.
Gender: Female.
Hair: Long and jet-black. Contours to the shape of her head, then just falls past the thick of her back. Also fashionably over her face.
Eyes: Vibrant amber, easily mistaken for yellow or even gold.
Appearance: Standing at six feet, two inches with dark skin, a predictably trim physique, and sharp features. Wearing a yellow spaghetti-strap tank-top, showing the "CG" tattooed above her right breast. Also wears long black denim pants leading to white sneakers with blue soles and a blue decorative stripe. Face is lightly decorated with lipstick and eyeshadow, though it may not show when she wears her purple visor.
Reference (It's a little off)
Personality: Takes pages right out of the "femme fatale" handbook. Sly, witty, flirtatious, and never leaving a personal jab unaddressed, she's one of those types you don't take home. She relishes in challenges and competition, and, even though she doesn't make a point of it, she won't let up until her opponents know just what they're dealing with, resulting in the occasional excessive injury or humiliation. She is very confident, which leads many to think of it as arrogance, but unfortunately it gets justified by her ability to back up her words. Like certain other Gamers, she speaks her mind. Not because she doesn't know better, but because she knows MUCH better. Otherwise, she's actually a decent PERSON if you can get over everything else.
Background: INFORMATION FILE IS CORRUPT. CANNOT ACCESS DATA BEYOND X DAY OF X MONTH OF X YEAR.
When the Gamer Games were announced, Cons signed up so she could personally beat the stuffing out of anybody and everybody who thinks the Gamerverse revolves around Captain and Czar Gamer.
Alignment: Neutral Evil

Techniques

<Power Description>: Able to use Game Cards, of which she has a few.
<Combat-related weapons and items>:
Mushakuboh - Inspired by the Soulcalibur weapon, this one can actually compress itself to smaller lengths so it could be clipped on to one of her top's straps or stored in her brassiere. With some force, it will extend and lock into a fully functional staff!
Flash Shot - Originally a Black Arms gun from Shadow the Hedgehog, it looks harmless, and it doesn't do much damage by itself. This is because the shot starts small and spreads out. The most it can do is force somebody back, which can throw somebody off-guard or try to crush them against a wall.
(Gamer Station Description): Instead of using a Gamer Station to produce and activate Game Cards, Cons's visor does all of that, meaning the Game Card will appear in her hand, then she plugs it into the top of the visor to activate it.
(Game Cards):
Hair Whip - Character: Shantae.
After activation, Cons's hair bunches itself up and a braid forms it into a ponytail. From there she can lash her hair forward in a whip-like fashion.
Succubus Suit - Character: Morrigan Aensland.
Her outfit changes into a recolored version of Morrigan's, giving her the ability to do most of what the character can do, including gliding, commanding a slew of morphing bats, and attracting every male within a large radius
Doom of the Living - Character: Yuffie Kisaragi.
Cons's "knockout rush." She will briefly stand, then rush in and deliver a series of fifteen rapid blows depending on how she's equipped at the time.

Style Notes: Starts off with a game of kee-away using her basic weapons, lulling her opponent into thinking she's not so good at close-up. As you can see, her stats all run through the middle with an emphasis on movement, so she relies on her techniques to see her through (like the current canon Gamers).

Other Inventory (Bag of Holding): Money, portable makeup kit, PSP with Guilty Gear Judgment, DS with WarioWare: Touched!, a few pens, spearmint gum, cell phone, lip balm, and keys on... a Czar Gamer keychain?
Skybait J

Ooh? This a spoiler of the greater things to come? Or something made up to throw us off the track. We shell see, hmm <.<

So...Anybody else? Naryu? Jenia? I don't Jenia wants to, though...<.<
Captain Gamer

Naryu already pitched Kamek. I'm under the impression Jenia isn't interested. >.>
Skybait J

Oh yeah =/

Long story short: school

Short Story Long: I read it AT school, but couldnt record it, then realized that I should've been in World History and promptly forgot.

Didnt mean to make anyone sad ;-;

I'll post within the week! All hail the three day weekend *many voices repeat "all hail"*
Chocolate Ninja

Sweet! Let's get ready to R-R-RUMBLLLLLEEEEEEEEE! *has consumed one too many Pepsis this evening*
Jenia

LIES! ALL LIES!

Actualy I'm interested, but I'm not joining for two reasons...
One is that 3 active RPs is plenty (I'm counting Mytherium, even though it is on hold).
The other is that I'm trying to recover my RPing spirit, which is somewhat depleted... By, well, not RPing.
Captain Gamer

Rephrase: I'm under the impression that we shouldn't wait on Jenia to start due to the lack of posting and things going on.
Skybait J

Oh, actually...

Koji, if you want to re-write your profile to include a basic blunt object and small projectile weapon like Gamer has, you may. They sort of come with the station, and aren't really "powers" like the game cards are. I mean, from what game charactor would Captain Gamer get a Light Gun, hm? Razz

I was just thinking about it as I was organizing things...you dont have to, but I want you to have an equal chance...y'know? <.<
Koji_Tsunami

So, you're saying that the Super Scope and Beam Sword (Bat) wouldn't count as game cards, therefore neither does a Light Gun? Sweet! More game cards for me!

Ha! again: Ha! I knew you'd use Constable or Colonel eventually, Cap!
Chocolate Ninja

Colonel? Is that an alternate universe zombie Captain? Razz
Anomaly

No, I think it's another Gamer who tends to act as a kind of support unit, with things like advice, reminding you of objectives, and of course, calling you on the codec when you're in the middle of sneaking up on someone.
Koji_Tsunami

Um, No, actually, Cap made her and Constable up in his sprite thread at BnG. Like this: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m168/Koji_Tsunami/ColonelGamer.png

That was a long time ago. Sorta. Cap told me he didn't have plans for these guys, but I guess he did. So, CN, Where'd you get "Zombie" from?
Chocolate Ninja

From an alternate Marvel universe where all the heroes are zombies, and Captain America is merely a Colonel. Razz Most Marvel fans seem to hate it with a passion, but I think it's awesome.
Captain Gamer

... Boy, was I ready to overreact until I read the explanation. >.>
Skybait J

There, the Gamer Games are open!

Now I'm going to go sit in that corner over there and qwiver!

Yes, thats Ash.

Edit: Guess I'll be first up...damn, I hate doing that, I get overly paranoid about messing up. xD;;
Captain Gamer

Huh, so only the characters of the people who signed up are the ones participating? I thought there would be some throwaway NPCs or something.

Either that or I have completely misunderstood what the Gamer Games are about.
Skybait J

Hush, you'll give away the secret! Hiss!

I planned for one Gamer Charactor and a few other tossed in NPCs. Don't give it AWAY dangit! XO

I get what you're saying though....I could've tossed in a bunch of NPC guys and made it more like the olympics or something, but thats not what I was thinking of at the time.

This is going to be more like like a "survivor" reality show...thing...dammit, quit making me more insecure about this than I actually am! XO
Captain Gamer

... I think you're the one who just gave it away. >.>
Skybait J

Maybe to the untrained eye I did.... but then again, maybe I DIDINT oh! <.< >.>

I need to stop eating candy RIGHT. NOW.
Konoko

Or eat Anti-candy.
Although, for what its worth....
Huh? What secret? I saw absolutely no details revealed in the previous few posts that I didn't forget instantly. And now I shall go to sleep.
Surprised
Skybait J

I'll get Commander's stats up, post haste! I've just been distracted by school n spriting n stuff =/

EDIT!

General

Gamer Name: Commander Gamer
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Hair: Brown, but has a lot of different colors in it, red and blonde are most noticeable
Eyes: Gray
Appearance: At first glance, one would notice that he's quite tall. Well over 6 foot. Most would then notice that he has a decent physique, like one who trains in thier spare time, but isnt out for any sports. He's also quite clean. His hair is always combed, his shirt tucked in, all of his clothes look properly washed and ironed. Of course, he's not afraid to muss himself up, but before he gets to work, he's always clean and proper. He wears an orange polo shirt, with a largish CG logo instead of the normal one. His black cargo pants are belted up, but still sag over his blue and white sneakers.

Personality: Commander comes off as abrasive and distant to most people, he'll only participate in a conversation if invited into it, or if it's of a deep matter. He's intelligent and civil, but his general standoffish additude has irritated many a people, they feel he treats them as inferior. When a bad situation turns up, however, he's more than willing to lead or be leaded, he feels a team should come before his personal feelings in a crisis.

Background: Most speculate that Commander Gamer is of a higher birth, like in the upper class. A faint touch of some sort of accent may point to european origins as well. A few say they've seen boys like him in the prestegious boarding schools in several different countries. Those who've claimed to know him then say he was always clever, but always did poorly on his work.

Alignment: Pure Nuetral

Techniques

Gamer Station Description: "Either a prototype or something homebrewed, practically his entire lower left arm was taken up by a gauntlet-like computer. A thick cord came out of the back of the device and trailed to his visor, which was much heavier than your typical visor."

Weapons:
Dai-jo staff: A basic staff, stored in his Gamer Station. Can be charged for a small area attack.
Disc Shooter: His gamer station shoots little purple discs of energy, no more powerfull than flinging CDs at things.

Game Cards:
Daggertail(Prince of Persia: Two Thrones)- A VERY pointy chain weapon
Pokeball(Pokemon)- Generates one randomly chosen pokemon. The pokemon will only last for so long, depending on which attacks are used. The maximum is only five or six minutes, and must recharge for over 10. Can be retrieved early
Celestial Paintbrush(Okami)- A very large and heavy paintbrush. Can be painted on any surface (including air) for a variety of attack and defenses, though they don't last long nor are the physical ones very powerfull.

Celestial Paintbrush? Fun. Any particular ability, or is it the default brush or the full pack?
Anomaly

The Daggertail? Tseh, give me Recall, any day of the week...
Skybait J

The Celestial paint brush has pretty much all of it's powers except they're all for the better part temporary. It's also kinda awkward to use, so he could easily make mistakes with it.
Skybait J

...Sorry everyone. Dad killed my internet and my disc drive is dead...so...I dunno what I'm doing about this, actually. I'm sorry I'm not here to direct things right now....

Just chill for a second, lemme find a time when I can get on the internet for five minutes without school screaming in my ear
Chocolate Ninja

Ah, it's all right. School is probably eating away at almost everyone's time now, so don't feel pressured. Good luck with your computer!
Skybait J

Look.

Stop posting, I'm not directing you to your next dirivitive, because I cannot acess my computer to tell you how to compete or a bunch of other things that require transferral. Like, constant map relays.
Koji_Tsunami

If Skybait can't get back soon, we're gonna have to declare the Gamer Games dead Sad . And we don't want that.
So get back online consistenly soon Skybait J!

or whatever.
Skybait J

Its not that I cant get online, its that I dont have acess to a stable computer which I can use without all my data being deleted or blocked or anything....

Plus, when one of those computers becomes available, I use it to work on a differentand vastly more important to me, sorry ;-;project.

I think I may have to just cut this off where it stands, really...
Skybait J

Guess what!

My computer got fixed!

...yeah, its been broken since October ><

Mom just kept saying "dont bother, dont bother, you're getting a laptop, dont bother..."

...Just...dont question the state of things in my house.....

One minor problem though. I've got a huge...er, self-important project that I have more love for than this and wanted to spend all of my weekend fixing what needs to be fixed and creating what needs be created...

What this means for the Gamer Games?

I dont know!!!!

Especially since I look at what I had to get done and am almost embarrassed that I didnt at least attempt to try to work on the Gamer Games...

So if I get the Gamer Games back up and running by Monday/Tuesday, will everyone promise not to yell at me for ignoring them for so long?
Koji_Tsunami

Sure, Why not?
Konoko

>.>
So...
Skybait J

Too little interest a little too late.

So instead all weekend I worked on backgrounds of super time consumingness.

You can also poke Anomaly while you blame me for being "lazy"
Anomaly

...what'd I do?!
Skybait J

You said the equivalent of "Oh, I thought that was dead. Dont bother trying to fix things, maybe we should move on with a different Gamer RP. Like the Gamer corps..."

And then you showed me that new avatar episode. it was a very convincing argument.
Anomaly

Well, sorry, but from the look of things, it was. I didn't know you'd just put it on hiatus. Again, sorry.

Sorry to derail the topic, but that Avatar episode was just awesome, wasn't it? I can already tell that those two are going to get into many jinx of great altitude.
