Speaking of Dreamland, I doubt NiGHTS will be realised.
Despite my personal fondness for the character, I don't even think that the IDR knows about the dude(tte)...
The game just isn't very well known.
Nuts. _________________ Apparantly, I'm like, off the vilg RESERVATION. Whatever that means.

NiGHTS is not really a guy, girl, or an it.
But still, I think they would know of NiGHTS into Dreams, especially since there's a new NiGHTS game coming out on the Wii (Journey into Dreams).
But still, I'm not entirely sure if it would be Realized, since there's not only nothing much the characters could give to humanity (through the characters themselves or the items in the game) and we already have a dream-based Realization.
Also, they're all dreams. Who would want their dreams to actually become manifest? _________________

1.NiGHTS' gender is variable to what you want him/her to be.
2. I concede. You're right, Journey of Dreams would cause them to know about the character.
3.Actually just based on how NiGHTS moves, you can get a basic outline of her personality, and with JoD coming up, I'd say it's very possible to have a NiGHTS with very hman emotions.
4.Depends on the Dream. I've had a few which would be nice to have realized... _________________ Apparantly, I'm like, off the vilg RESERVATION. Whatever that means.
Well, actually, Kirby sets a precedent. He's from Dreamland, but they still went ahead and Realized him; clearly, something being a dream isn't much of a barrier to IDR scientists.
And wasn't NiGHTS referred to as a 'he' at some point in the manual? I'm not sure about it, but I have no idea if we even still have a copy of NiGHTS, so I can't really check.
Though, in any case, we do at least know that NiGHTS won't be Realized yet. A properly Realized NiGHTS would have to have all acrobatic flight ability intact, and based on the Warp Star, the kind of flight which Digital Reality is capable of providing so far is far from acrobatic. _________________

You'll note SEGA's kept the gender ambiguous on purpose. And then gave NiGHTS a female voice actress for JoD.
Hmmm... maybe the whole thing that the IDR is develpoing flight means that they'll at least try to make NiGHTS? _________________ Apparantly, I'm like, off the vilg RESERVATION. Whatever that means.

1. Yes, but, like Koji showed, its gender is not clear.
2. And there is bound to be at least a couple people who at least heard of the game. I'd say that the Professor may had heard of it when it was released.
3. Yes, NiGHTS' movements indicate a playful nature, but keep in mind that NiGHTS is a Nightmaren. Nightmares can seem to be friendly, but they quickly turn on you. Of course, this could mean diddly-squat due to NiGHTS protecting the kids from Wizeman...
4. But imagine if ANY dream could be manifested. The implications would be terrible. I have had dreams in which I was tortured or killed. Would you want such dreams to become real?

Its a whole different ballpark with NiGHTS. His 'dreamland' is of a different sort. Unlike Kirby's, NiGHTS' realm is segmented into two parts: Nightopia and Nightmare and creatures exist in both places. In Kirby's world, it is a great big place which is itself a happy dream. The nightmares are evil monsters rather than places.
And yes, NiGHTS will be Realized only after the Warpstar is fully figured out.

Just because a voice actor is female doesn't mean anything. Bart Simpson is voiced by a woman.
Maybe, maybe not. They could develop flight with Arwings or a Clank-backpack, as an example. _________________
I wonder what kind of propullsion the Warpstar uses?
On girl voice actors: Bart Simpson, Ash Ketchum, and various other guys with female voice actors all sound like guys, at least to a point.
NiGHTS sounds distinctly female. _________________ The following statement is true : the previous statment was false.

It occurs to me that this entire conflict could be resolved if they realised silver-age power Superman (even without flight) with modern-day logic (which they didn't have in 60s DC comics) and a badass motorbike, and the story would end pretty easily.
Of course, that would be cheating, but it would make sense just to summon a guy who can juggle planets, and have him silence the violence for you.
But of course, all of Superman's video games SUCK! And since he's a comic book character, he doesn't get to be realized.
Yay for illogical lack of clearly possible deus ex machina.
Oh and also... The army men games don't get realized either. But it would be funny. _________________ Apparantly, I'm like, off the vilg RESERVATION. Whatever that means.
