Pikmin and Olimar? Makes me wish I played the games!
I must note that with characters like Pokemon Trainer, Olimar, Wario and Pit, I think Nintendo is really going to town creating 'unconventional' Smash characters. Are we really going to see a new, more 64-ish Smash?
Fact: The biggest nerfing in video game history was in Smash Bros. Melee. They nerfed the entire midweight to heavyweight class!
The second biggest nerfing was Max of Advance Wars. 150/100 to 110/100? Work Time Fun, Nintendo? _________________
..Pikmin? How....would they fight?!
There's really not much there about them...o.o
Based on a not-at-all recent yet highly credible flash animation by some legendary amphibian guy, that is in fact more centred around some large invention by someone infested by some korean hive-aliens or something, I believe Pikmin are in fact highly voracious and have huge teeth. Based on that, I have formed the theory that pressing B will turn the wielded Pikmin into the equivilant of a drooling blender having a seizure. They will devour rodents such as Pikachu or any hamsters, with frightning ease. It will be a traumatic sight, but thankfully nintendo will use a cloud of dust and cutesy sound effects to mask it.
That or they're just a small range of things for Oli to smack people with, with rather varied effect. Bombs may also show up as well. And they may have an effective swarming sort of throw. And I am interested to see what that purplish one with the spiky flower does... _________________ Ortus Denicalis
Whoo! Swarming throw! :3 No bombs though...unless they're in the Final Smash. Or maybe that'll be giant pikmin, or that big red and beige-y enemy from the game. Or it gets you one of another colour of pikmin, that is particularly dangerous...That could be an interesting final smash. _________________ Ortus Denicalis

I'm really not worried about the date going back a bit, almost was expecting it after Olimar. Its not a huge difference, but getting something like that properly balanced, along with all the finishing touches and testing and whatever they're doing now are definately worth doing thoroughly. :3 _________________ Ortus Denicalis
I told Sakurai this would happen if they added Duke Nukem and Miyu to the roster.
EDIT: Oh yes, and it seems Twilight Princess couldn't keep Sheik away. And here I thought people were actually going to use the Zelda character this time around.
